His first picture book, The Blind Man's Bluff, was named a Best Book of 2009 by School Library Journal, Kidsreads.com, and ALA Notable Books for 2009. He was recently named the 2010-2011 Emerging Writer at the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
